"Collage" Brewster Ladies Library January 2010
Group collage and photomontage exhibition by artists, Coco Larrain, Jay Elliot, and Nancy Pettibone.
Collage The Cultural Center of Cape Cod April 8 -19, 2009
I'll be exhibiting a variety of collages that I've been working on over the years between painting series. They are composed of multi-generational materials......amazing pieces from my late grandmother who was an acclaimed Decoupage artist, scribbles and scratches of my sons work from early childhood to middle school doodles in his notebooks (borrowed when cleaning out his abandoned notebooks), combined with my own work and found objects that I've collected for ten years.
Self Portrait Cape Cod The Cotuit Center for The Arts Jan 7 - Feb 9, 2008
Fifty five Cape artists displaying works they created in their own image. Self Portrait Cape Cod is the second annual event of the Arts Education Initiative of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. By displaying a wide variety of interpretations of the self portrait, the exhibit highlights the many different ways in which artists approach the creation of a self portrait, in a variety of different media, and at different stages of life. Conceived and curated with children in mind, Self Portrait Cape Cod confirms the importance of arts education at all stages of our growth as creative individuals.

New Work Brewster Ladies Library April 2008
This show was dedicated to my parents who passed away within four months of each other in 2006.

The exhibition consisted of a series of large scale oil paintings; skyscapes with a touch of earth - dunes, marshes and beaches along the canvas bottom edge. They were painted and inspired from the skies overhead during my walks on the beach while both Mom and Dad were ill and after their deaths. They represent sadness, loss, strength, support, love, release, continuance and joy.

They were amazing and unusual skies.

The paintings are deeply about life and it's continuation and transformation through "death" which I believe, is a shedding of skin so to grow into the expanse of larger life... to that which we are all connected, even during our short stay here on this magnificent earth.
